Sad news for the industry, and for the Vancouver dev scene in particular. EAC in Burnaby is one of EA's largest studios, develops huge titles like FIFA and NHL, and also supports studios like Respawn with Apex, Star Wars, etc.

I adored @capycastaway.com from Toronto's @kittencupstudio.bsky.social. The art style is delightful, the animal interactions are adorable and the wonderfully cozy vibes were much-needed. But above all else, it was genuinely lovely to see how much of Toronto and Canada as a whole is in the game. 🍁

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 5d agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
