'Robust circular cluster-based statistics for respiration-brain coupling' New preprint, and what a way to welcome @teresaberther.bsky.social to the #neuroskyence community. With @eliobalestrieri.bsky.social, she developed CBPT for circular #bodybrain analyses. Paper: osf.io/preprints/ps... 🧵🔽

Together with Teresa Berther, @martinasaltafossi.bsky.social, @eliobalestrieri.bsky.social, and @ualsbombe.bsky.social, we have developed a pipeline which uses IAAFT-based respiration time series surrogates to then adapt gold-standard cluster permutation testing for circular (phase-binned) data.

These two projects have been brewing for a long time, and we’re thrilled to finally share them. Huge thanks to collaborators/friends for their work and patience: Clayton Hickey, Giorgio Coricelli, @eliobalestrieri.bsky.social and Damiano Grignolio.

Did anyone use correlations for a temporal generalisation analysis? I have a hard time finding something, but it seems straight forward (and symmetric) for my problem at hand. I want to do encoding, not decoding analyses. Pointers greatly appreciated ! #eeg
