Limenitis weidemeyerii, Weidemeyer's admiral Having a feed on Agastache foeniculum, anise hyssop. I learned that adults will feed on carrion.
My violent Latenivenatrix I play in Path of Titan. He is a kick brained chicken that often ends up smashed to pieces or bitten apart. And he also bites his teammates.

"This Cat Was Special" This is my second favorite piece ever and I want more people to see it. This took MONTHS to make so I literally can’t afford to make this kind of stuff often. If you wanna see more of this idk, let me know or buy a print.
“Do Dead Malls Go To Heaven?” Experimented a bit with a new way of detailing the tiles. Kinda like it? This particular piece took a hell of a lot of work. I’d love if you shared the vibes it’s giving off, for research purposes. (WIP process in comments)
Monarda fistulosa bustin with butterflies: western branded skipper? And some sort of fritillary, maybe aphrodite?
Over a year ago, we built a prototype for a new Myst Universe game meant for publisher eyes only. This project is NOT in active development, but we're proud of the work the team did, and wanted to share it with you all. Presenting: Project Anglerfish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvNGt02yZNc
Another highly coveted plant native has established for me: purple prairie clover, Dalea purpurea. It has taken years of seeding for one plant to grow and flower. I am grateful, and hopeful for more.
Sketches of creatures from The Alien Chronicles: Myal, which I imagine as capybara+cottontop tamarin, a Reject Viis, and Elrabin, the coyote like Kelth.

I yelled with joy when @quickxyk.bsky.social had me come look at this plant he found. I’ve been trying to grow Scarlet Gilia for years and it seems a few seeds managed to take hold. I am ecstatic.
Thank you all who responded to this! I appreciate you for sharing your experiences. I’m not sure what i’m going to do moving forward. In good news, I tried Nurtec for migraines and it was super effective!
🌟 🌈 Vantid Art 🎨 🌟@vantid.bsky.social · 3mo agoHey Fibromyalgia folks! Is it worth getting a formal diagnosis? I saw a pain doctor today for migraines and I described my chronic pain. She asked if I knew about fibromyalgia. I’m going back for an evaluation but she had some cautionary things to say about having that permanent diagnosis.
Smoke Alarm—The gods of nature tire of subtle warning; it seems we only respond to scripture written in fire. By then, it's too late.

Get wrecked, grasshopper. Something has defoliated my columbines, and I bet it was grasshoppers. Thank you for your service, crab spider. 🫡
Fireflies and Penstemon digitalis, 2026 This is a real photo taken in my yard, made with many stacked 4-second exposures. In all, this photo represents about 8-10 minutes worth of firefly flashes in a small area. Several species are represented here.
Oh god it just happened to me again. I am distraught.
