I mean, adjusted for inflation a plane ticket from New York to London in 1980 would cost about $4,500 dollars today. It's not that air travel has got worse. It's democratised. If you pay the 'old' price in modern money you basically get the same, if not better, experience than you did then.

Well I'm happy to report that with a little bit of tweaking, Scrivener works absolutely fine on Linux. So if you're a writer who is fed up of Windows, but worried about not being able to use Scrivener if you shifted over... ...then worry not. Which is great.

So true. Historians have lots of knowledge, and put in time and effort into their research and writing. We can't do this for free, even if it is our passion!
