Hope your day was better than Darwin’s, on this day 165 years ago
This was really interesting. Especially the amount of 'modern' complaints from the 1700s. This is what keeps me company while I'm stripping wallpaper...

If anyone is looking for fabulous and quirky accommodation near lake #bled in #slovenia, I'd highly recommend Garden Village Bled share.google/kVkaMmxmH3xI... We stayed in a river side tent. Plus there was a natural pool, bar, restaurant and bikes to borrow to ride round the lake.

Designing safer public spaces starts with listening to women and girls. Our new £15.6 million fund will put their voices at the heart of decision-making, building on the record-breaking £318 million we’ve already invested into tackling violence against women and girls.
London is getting a £15.6M fund to make public spaces safer for women and girls

Amazed that PETA aren't all over this. When will these inhumane practices end.
I went to #Cologne last winter; stunning cathedral. With the 'relics' of the wise men. The Christmas market is pretty fab; best for hungry people, who love cheese, bread, chocolate and #gluhwein. Salad lovers are poorly catered for.

These are known as #Crinkle-Crankle #walls. Growing up in #Suffolk, I passed one quite regularly. This wave shape, gives the wall stability, and uses fewer bricks than a standard straight wall. They are more usual in Suffolk and were a response to a brick tax between 1784 and 1850.
I learnt very recently that #clouds can weigh up to 500,000 kgs!! I was astonished!! They are #beautiful, and weighty. I lesson for us all there. If clouds can do it, we can too 💪😉
Happy #CloudAppreciationDay! ☁️✨ Today is the perfect excuse to look up and admire the skies above us. From fluffy fair-weather cumulus clouds to towering, dramatic cumulonimbus, they do more than shape our weather. They spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and connect us to the natural world.
