So Doofus dog's skin is getting thin in her old age, and we're trying to stop her scratching because she keeps just very slightly nicking herself. We were out for like 3hrs today, and she's now dotted with tiny scabs all down the length of her sides. Which means her new nickname is Perforated Pup

A long-legged staffie, black vut turning very grey especially around her face, stares dolefully at the camera because she only has one expression and it's that one.

Sometimes, when someone dies, what helps me is thinking about how wonderful it is that they were even alive in the first place. Dolly was the closest you could get to an American saint. We all loved her.

I tell you something about our NHS. I love it for what it has done for me and others, and I wouldn't do without it. But being told 10-12 weeks for a waiting list and going "Oh that's not so bad" because I've been on a couple for over 2yrs now says everything about what our government thinks of it...

Doofus has been unwell all week; we were getting up all day and all night every couple of hours for a couple of days there. We had to put her onto an enforced total fast for a full day before that stopped. She's been so sad she then refused to eat at all.

In the 1970s, a group of farmers digging a well stumbled upon one of the greatest archaeological finds in history. They had found the terracotta army—some 8,000 life-size clay soldiers, buried over 2,000 years ago. The soldiers had real weapons, **which were still sharp**. How? 1/8 ⚛️🧪

Found out today that an old friend died. We hadn't been in touch for a while, but she was one of the reasons I made it through my early 20s. She was one of the kindest, warmest, and most genuine people I've ever met. And she was so well loved.
