Ohhh yes I am in absolute agreement. Please, I beg do NOT call a digital illustration watercolor just because you used a "watercolor" brush. Watercolor refers to a literal, physical medium. Digital illustrations can mimic traditional medium but it does not make it that medium. Be honest, please.
KikiDoodle & Purrmaids@kikidoodle.bsky.social · 3mo agoI'm not sure if this is due to how digitsl brushes are sold, but I keep seeing (always young) artists referring to their DIGITAL artwork as "watercolors" or "oil" or whatever medium they are trying to emulate. Don't do that. If I can't tell if you're ignorant or predatory, I'll assume the worst.
