Indivisible Colorado Endorses Amendment 87 VOTE YES on Amendment 87! It’s the only statewide ballot initiative whose petition was volunteer led. VOTE NO on Proposition 136! It’s funded by dark money group Advance Colorado. Amendment 87 replaces Colorado’s flat tax rate of 4.4% with a graduated income tax. Coloradans who work for a living should not pay the same tax rate as millionaires and giant corporations. Corporations and individuals making more than half a million dollars a year will pay a little more income tax, while 97% of Coloradans will get a tax cut! Amendment 87 asks the wealthiest 3% of Coloradans and its biggest corporations to finally pay their fair share. Dark Money group Advance Colorado, funded by Colorado's richest billionaire Phil Anschutz, is spending millions to defeat Amendment 87 with Proposition 136. Proposition 136 permanently caps the income tax rate for individuals and corporations at 4.4%, because the mega-wealthy would rather spend millions to keep our tax code broken than ever paying their fair share.

This work is tremendously important; now that ICE is dropping people with removal orders from their online tracking system, footage from volunteers is sometimes the last clear indication loved ones will get of where a family member is before being released - a process that can take months.

As noted later in the thread, this is the 67th confirmed death in DHS custody since Trump retook office. Each death is a stain upon our nation and we are all morally responsible for this happening.

Another person has died in Trump's concentration camps. 47-year-old Julian Curo-Churata was from Peru. He died on Sept. 29 after he was imprisoned for three months in Richwood Correctional Center in Louisiana. That camp is run by LaSalle Corrections. There's no cause of death listed.

In these press releases, ICE always attempts to describe the people it is killing as criminals, and lists out things they've allegedly done wrong. All they had on Curo-Churata, though, was that he was once found "driving with expired vehicle registration."
