Texas has the highest number of uninsured people and the most rural hospital closures in the country. If Greg Abbott wanted to lower healthcare costs for Texans, he would've done it in the twelve years he's been Governor.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court allowed the administration to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 350,000 Haitians and roughly 6,000 Syrians. TPS allows people from countries experiencing war, natural disasters, or other extraordinary conditions to legally live/work in the US.

This should concern every American, regardless of political party. California Governor Gavin Newsom says on X that he and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, have become targets of a Department of Justice investigation directed by the Trump administration.

Is Congress finally growing a spine? A group of lawmakers warned the Trump administration that officials could face fines and criminal prosecution if they move forward with Trump’s proposed 250-foot triumphal arch in Washington without approval from Congress.

Since taking office, Ken Paxton has become a multi-millionaire while our pay has stagnated. He owns 11 homes while most Texans can’t afford one. He trades favors with rich donors while blocking overtime pay for workers. Paxton doesn’t serve us — he serves himself.

Remember when DOGE claimed programs protecting agriculture and public health were just “waste, fraud, and abuse”? Now the cattle industry is alarmed over the spread of the New World screwworm, a flesh-eating parasite that can devastate livestock and wildlife populations.

Sadly this morning, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved Sen. Mike Lee’s amendment to eliminate the 2001 Roadless Rule, which protects roughly 45 million acres of national forest land.

A win! A federal judge has temporarily stopped the Trump admin’s attempt to dismantle part of a major U.S. climate research institution. In a preliminary ruling, Judge R. Brooke Jackson blocked plans to remove a key supercomputer from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in CO.

Later today, Senate Republicans are expected to start trying to shovel over $70 billion more to ICE and Border Patrol to build more concentration camps like Delaney Hall and kidnap more of our neighbors. Our Members of Congress need to hear from us ASAP.

For four months, one man decided we were at war. Today, the House said no. We passed a war powers resolution ordering our troops out of Iran unless Congress votes to keep them there. Not the President alone. Congress. The people’s representatives.
