My job title has been officially changed from flight control operator to flight control meteorologist. My job duties don’t change, this just better reflects my contributions at Windborne Systems. I’m excited to be in a place where my expertise is valued!

I’m on my way to the Bay Area today and on Wednesday I start my new job operating weather balloons around the globe at Windborne Systems! I’m excited to be working to improve upper level data! I did some work with balloons in college and it was honestly my favorite part of my college experience.

Tonight we enjoyed chili on cornbread waffles. This stroke of genius came a few days ago when we were having waffles and the idea of cornbread waffles was mentioned. It exceeded expectations, which were already high.

Been playing around with my new #EV and gathering some interesting information. When I set cruise control to 124 km/h I get 4.3 km/kWh on the drive between Hermiston and Kennewick but when I set it to 117 km/h I get 4.8 km/kWh.

We have purchased an EV and will acquire it on Monday. I’m pretty excited, this is our first EV. I would rather not have a car but my new job’s location and hours are not in line with public transit options in that area.

My toddler (13 mo) has been fascinated with our refrigerator magnets. He recently discovered that the following objects are non-magnetic by holding them up to the fridge and letting go: - Spatula - Water bottle - Green bean - Another green bean - Yet another green bean ok kid it's replicated jeez 🧪
