Poe cuts in. “What about Ben?”

Confused, Rey looks at him. “What?”

“What?” Kaydel adds on.

“What?”

(The third one is Ben, who has barely glanced up from his laptop.)

Poe jabs a thumb at him; it’s covered in ancho chili and lime juice. “Take Ben.” He gives his friend a winning smile. “Ben needs a vacation, you need a big, strong man to be your fake boyfriend, Yavin is gorgeous this time of year: everyone wins.”

Rey’s nose wrinkles. “You can’t just volunteer someone to be a fake boyfriend, Poe.”

Her eyes widened and she looked right at him in shock. He could see her blush deepening, but his attention was almost completely focused on her lips—on the shape of them when they were slightly parted and the feeling of them under his touch, soft and warm and slightly sticky from the marshmallow. He bet she tasted like chocolate and sugar just then and he wanted to devour her piece by piece. He wanted to crush his lips against hers and bite at them, to slide his tongue between her teeth and let her bite back. Fuck anyone watching.

A shaky breath left his lungs as his willpower began to crumble.

AITA for asking my employee/nephew to do his job?

I (58M) employ 36 people. Our work requires each person to have one dedicated partner, a crucial element for our research and fieldwork. One of my employees happens to be my nephew (34M). His partner is a bright young woman (27M) I recruited a few years ago.

Now this team happens to be my strongest performers. I'm about to send them off on their next assignment, but my sister (58F) is suddenly convinced 🙄 my nephew is pining for his partner.

I think this is ridiculous and none of my business. I've seen no evidence of any such pining and his partner is simply too smart to fall for a pair of pretty eyes. However, I'm willing to admit that my sister is often right. AITA to push through this assignment?
