“Tell me,” he panted. His hands forced her dress up to her waist with a rough tug. “Were you trying to make me jealous?”

Rey squirmed on the bed but he still managed to hook his fingers into her panties and pull them off of her.

“Why? Is it working?” She didn’t know why her first instinct was to provoke him, especially when he was looking at her the way a predator watches its unwitting prey, but she couldn’t take it back now. Besides, the thrill was kind of fun. Just what was he going to do about it?

“I will make the next man to put his unworthy hands all over you slit his own throat,” Ben snarled. He removed his shirt and stepped out of his pants as he casually threatened murder. It was far more attractive than it had any right to be.

“Bit petty, don’t you think?”

“Not nearly petty enough, actually.”

Summary:
As professors at rival colleges and practitioners of antithetical branches of magic, Rey Niima and Benjamin Organa loathe each other.
Or so all of Oxford believes. In reality, their new research partnership serves more than one purpose: rediscovering a form of spellcraft once thought lost, reforming opinions on the supposed immorality of blood magic, and paving the way to reveal their relationship without losing friendships, tenure, or grant funding.
But a series of murders on campus reveals a worrying trend: all the victims have a connection to Ben, and the killer is a mage up to no good. The biggest obstacle to going public might just be surviving long enough to do so.

Or, fake dating but make it fake hating. And a murder mystery. With bird shenanigans. Because Reylo.

He could see her blush deepening, but his attention was almost completely focused on her lips—on the shape of them when they were slightly parted and the feeling of them under his touch, soft and warm and slightly sticky from the marshmallow. He bet she tasted like chocolate and sugar just then and he wanted to devour her piece by piece. He wanted to crush his lips against hers and bite at them, to slide his tongue between her teeth and let her bite back. Fuck anyone watching.
