Today might actually be my last day in the Shapeshifters studio. Wrapping up tax stuff. Looking around and picking up the last personal items. I found a Left Hand of Darkness screenplay and a jar of honey on a high shelf, those are mine. It's very strange to leave behind ten years of my life.

Hi folks. Funny story! Last December I sold Shapeshifters. We signed the contract on 12/18. On 12/19 we learned that the FDA was sending threatening letters to chest binder companies. I got mine on 12/22. Merry fucking Christmas to me. Cue the mad scramble for legal advice over the holidays. (1/3)

I bought this green mango-tree-printed cotton four years ago to make cloth masks. Today I'm using up the last of it to make door curtains for my child's daycare. They're required to have these to shield the toddlers from sight in case of a school shooter.

Fun day today. Got a migraine at work, discovered at lunchtime that a local reporter tried to gaslight me on facebook. (I said, hey don't journalists usually use the word "allegedly" when talking about pretrial supposed crimes?, and he said "oh we did" and inserted it after the fact. lol.)

Shapeshiftersvt@tumblr > I think Peter Beagle might have been the first person to imply to me that my transition is a gift to others. That living my life fully and honestly is a way of gifting others with something precious and good, something that they can appreciate and remember for decades later.

I try to approach my inbox with compassion. I really do. I even succeed most days. But no, y'all, no we cannot sell you a Make-Your-Own-Binder Kit and then "just sew it up" for you before we send it. That is called selling you a binder. It is twice the price for a reason.
