We've received enough support to barely afford another round of neuro-surgery. The swelling produced an infection that got too close to his brainstem to treat with medication alone. The surgery is tomorrow. Ideally there won't be any further surprise expenses. Thank you SO MUCH for the help! ;v;

Hey folks! Gunny's Fam really needs urgent help. They need funds within the hour to afford a discounted MRI (otherwise being tossed into the ER system for many thousands more and waits that could cause the loss of this family member.) Even if its only a few bucks, please lend a hand!

I'm floored by how many reposts this has received so far. Thank you! We're just past 14% of what we need. I'm not expecting to make it to 100%, but every dollar is one step closer to affording an opportunity should it arise. A family member lost their job to this as well, so every dollar counts.

⚠️ An important announcement regarding the cancellation of the 2026 Fursuit Parade and Block Party due to the extreme heat and severe weather situation in the Pittsburgh forecast.

Anthrocon has been closely monitoring the extreme heat and severe weather situation in Pittsburgh forecast for this weekend. Convention leadership has been in contact with emergency services personnel and other entities regarding this situation.

After careful consideration for the health, safety, and wellbeing of our fursuiters, attendees, and residents of Pittsburgh, Anthrocon has decided to cancel the 2026 Fursuit Parade and Block Party scheduled for 2pm, July 4th.

We know both Anthrocon attendees and our friends in Pittsburgh look forward to this event every year; but the health and safety of all concerned is our paramount priority.

Anthrocon attendees should look for announcements of alternative indoor activities in place of the parade this year. We apologize for the necessity of this decision and hope you’ll continue to enjoy the events throughout the holiday weekend.

I'm in BAD pain i need money for a wisdom tooth removal + potentially a root canal asap. wisdom tooth has a cyst around it which is worrying. pain's been so bad for a couple days i hate asking for this because i was trying to save up for the procedures but i couldn't and now its too late to wait
