AI billionaires have shown us they’re willing to chase a dollar bill off the side of a cliff if it makes them a dollar richer. But Trump doesn’t give a damn if AI puts us in harm’s way, as long as he can make himself richer in the process.

“He’s like the political equivalent of Windows 95 — an operating system without an application in the modern era…I don’t know what counsel he has to offer people who are running in competitive elections in 2026.” www.nytimes.com/2026/09/26/u...

Rahm Emanuel Makes His 2026 Play

The longtime Democratic insider has emerged as a behind-the-scenes force in his party’s push to win back Congress. After that, he’ll think about 2028.

The only responsible plan to regulate AI is to stop it in its tracks. Any politician whose AI plan isn’t “this must stop now” isn’t ready for what’s next. Trump is all in on AI, so Republicans won’t go there. And Democrats can’t. We need a party that can & will.

I don't want to hear, "I had no idea it would get so bad," from folks a few years from now. They're telling us how bad it is NOW. The same people behind these dystopian, anti-human schemes not only see you and your family as collateral damage, but all of humanity.

AI billionaires are jacking up our energy bills, poisoning our air and water, endangering our kids, and putting people out of work. Now their own researchers are saying that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Post from Jacob Coxon. "I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below."

We're proud to endorse @claireforny.bsky.social and @darializaforny.bsky.social for Congress. Claire and Darializa built people-powered movements and brought out New Yorkers across age, race, and background and they will do it again in Nov.

The New York Working Families is proud to endorse @claireforny.bsky.social for Congress. Together, we will continue to fight for change that centers working families and not the interests of billionaires or corporations.

Thank you for supporting our fight to win a Rhode Island for everyday working people, not just elite oligarchs. As you so eloquently pointed out, the 1% is unified, now the rest of us need to recognize that we have more in common than what divides us. Thank you @workingfamilies.org

🚨BREAKING: Our union of over 12,000 baristas are officially calling for a Starbucks boycott. Read this statement penned by Starbucks workers on why a boycott from ALL customers, allies, and organizations is necessary to fight back against corporate greed:

BOYCOTT STARBUCKS is written inside a zig-zaggy speech bubble against crumbled paper. Beside it are the Starbucks Workers United logo and an image of a coffee cup being poured out.We, the 12,000 and growing members of Starbucks Workers United, call on everyone who stands with working people to boycott Starbucks until they finalize a contract with union baristas and stop union-busting.
What we’re fighting for is simple: a minimum $17/hr wage, enough hours to live on, better staffing in our stores, and basic workplace protections. Every year, our living costs rise but our wages don’t keep up – a growing pressure many American workers are feeling as corporate greed accelerates unchecked in our country.
Starbucks is banking on customers' blind loyalty to the integrity and values this company once stood for in order to keep squeezing them for profits. At a time when working-class people across the country are struggling in a challenging economy, it is no longer possible to be both a Starbucks customer and in support of workers; choosing to spend money at Starbucks is choosing a law breaking corporation over the baristas who make your coffee everyday exactly as you ask for it.
Starbucks has violated U.S. labor law more than any other company in modern history–the NLRB and its judges have found that Starbucks committed hundreds of labor violations and there are currently more than 550 unresolved unfair labor practice charges still pending against the company. Instead of finalizing a fair and reasonable union contract, Starbucks has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of care for the workers who fuel the company’s profits by wasting millions of dollars on AI and technology that doesn’t work, launching countless gimmicky drinks designed to distract from real problems, and inventing pointless policies that do nothing but make our jobs harder.
This ongoing, irrational behavior by Starbucks and its refusal to settle a fair union contract with workers leaves us with no other choice than to call for a boycott. We know when working people stand up together, we win.
No Contract? No Coffee.
