If Brett Smiley can’t be honest about a genocide, how can you trust him to be honest about our housing crisis, our schools, or protecting our immigrant neighbors?

Reason #9128 why @davidmoralespvd.bsky.social is the next mayor of Providence. He’s out with the community, keeping citizens safe from ICE.

Another day, another lie from Brett Smiley. Here’s the truth: we have an underwhelming agreement with our private colleges and universities. As our next Mayor, we’ll work towards a better agreement that benefits our Providence Public Schools.

As a State Representative, I was proud to successfully co-sponsor a series of new laws to defend and protect our immigrant communities.
As our next Mayor, I will be focused on delivering lasting investments in climate resilience across our city. Our neighbors deserve real preparation and protection from the worsening effects of climate change.
As dangerous flash floods and heavy rain become more common across Providence, many of our neighbors are left dealing with damaged property and crumbling roads. As our next Mayor, I’ll partner with our City Council to launch a Green Infrastructure Bond to reduce flooding and protect our community!
PVD: Pleasant Valley Parkway stream floods the street during a rain storm. A car is stuck in the unmarked flood zone, @davidmoralespvd.bsky.social + other neighbors are out to help driver/passenger. Stream's flooded for years yet the incumbent mayor + city councilor have done nothing to fix it.
When major decisions like relocating the bus hub from Kennedy Plaza are being considered, the people who rely on it every day must be a part of the decision.
When I’m Mayor, I promise you won’t have to question whose side City Hall is on. Our administration will be focused on doing the work that benefits our neighbors, not corporate campaign donors, to ensure our city becomes one that all of us can afford to live and thrive in. www.davidmoralespvd.com
¡Wepa! Thank you to every volunteer and organizer who made this year’s Puerto Rican Bay Festival a special one for our community 🫶🏽🇵🇷
I understand that campaigns come with attacks, and I have always been prepared to face them. What I will not accept is the use of tactics that reinforce racist stereotypes and risk causing broader harm to our community.
This morning, ICE shot and killed a man in Maine. The week before, they murdered a man in Texas. This type of state-sanctioned violence cannot be normalized. Until we finally ABOLISH ICE, we have to take legal action against this fascist agency.
Saturday, July 11th was a special day of celebrations for our small business community in Providence 🎉 Congratulations to Kimi’s Bar, Hudson Street Deli, and Limón o Nada on celebrating exciting milestones!
TY, Kenny Uong, for referencing this 2023 article by Nancy Lavin. Car traffic in PVD has resulted from policy failures. @davidmoralespvd.bsky.social staffers, you have an opportunity to develop a winning strategy to end gridlock. Improve 🚴🏾🚌🚶🏻♀️ travel for all residents & visitors.
In 2023, Providence secured a $27.2M federal grant to expand its bike lane network. Rather than immediately moving forward, the Smiley administration paused implementation of new bike lane and street safety projects for a citywide review. So frustrating. 🙃 pbn.com/27m-grant-co...
For decades, Hudson Street Deli has served our neighbors across the West End with delicious subs, breakfast sandwiches, and a space for community to gather. Congratulations to Sab and his team as they celebrate one year of new ownership 🫶🏽🎉 Stop by between now and 6pm!
Brett Smiley knows that our campaign has the momentum in this race so he’s trying to scare our neighbors because he cannot defend his record as Providence has become unaffordable for working people on his watch.
From students getting to school to seniors traveling to appointments to families making their way downtown, RIPTA serves thousands of our neighbors across Providence.
America’s story, much like Providence, is a collective story of dreams, hardships, and the pursuit of happiness. Today, we honor the stories of our indigenous communities, those who were forced here, and our immigrant neighbors. Happy 4th of July neighbors! 🫶🏽
Working people across Providence deserve a Mayor that will stand with them! Between the Providence Teachers Union, the SEIU State Council, AFT Local 6516, and Unite Here Local 26 — our movement to build a Providence for All continues to grow! #SolidarityForever

Airport management wants to remain neutral during the strike said Representative Morales to striking workers , but “being neutral means being on the side of the bosses.”
