Need advice on waterproof trail walking shoes. My old Keens bit the dust. Are Keens & Columbia still good or has enshittification gotten them? Need good traction, waterproof enough for the soggy Midwest, arch support, wideish toe box but not wide width. Any personal recs? for under $175 😬?

Sunset last night was lovely. The birds are chimney swifts who come to eat the mosquitoes hovering over my pond. Between the swifts & bats in the evenings, and the dragonflies during the day, I get fewer mosquito bites than you'd expect.

King's seizures are under control, but he still needs a neurology consult. The bill to msnage the seizures was well over what we raised. Sending this around again, in the hope that ppl can kick in a little more for the consult. ♥️ #uglydogs

B has some nightly traditions. He has to have zoomies with a toy. Then he needs cuddles. Then he fusses with his blanket on my bed (shown here). He doesn't sleep on that blanket unless it's in his crate. But in true sibe fashion, if it's not on the bed, the world might end. #UglyDogs

I brought cats from NOLA to Ohio, then later adopted OH cats. I stg they had different accents beyond individual quirks. There was a common uplilt in the LA cats that the OH cats didn't have. There's also accents in the TX husky vs VA husky vs Midwest huskies I've had.
