Mostly here for my #UglyDogs (it's a joking community name! We don't think dogs are ugly). She/her. I hope my husky brightens your day but if you give me unsolicited health advice, I'll launch you into the sun.

Why am I suddenly seeing who liked every single post I click on? I don't mean who liked my posts in my notifications (a setting anyone can turn off). I mean just scrolling through posts, I'll see the names of who liked them on the post itself. I don't care. It's unnecessary clutter.

Fae: “Tell us your true name.” Me: “…Just my name? No birthdate, no SSN, no fingerprint scan, no address, no mother’s maiden name? Are you sure you’ve even got the right Olivia Waite? There’s like six.” Fae: “What the hell kind of bargains have you been making?” Me: “They call it health insurance.”

It's common for dogs with separation anxiety to get worse before they get better. It's common for dogs with separation anxiety to get worse before they get better. It's common for... My poor boy is having a bad day. Which means so am I to some extent. #UglyDogs

I took Brynden back to the library Greenway. He loves making new friends. He got fawned over & lots of pets. And he adores kids! Even strollers didn't faze him. Not so much toy breed dogs. That was (expectedly) challenging. Lol But I'm so proud of him! 🥰 #UglyDogs

Sending a wish to the universe that August only be a time for injuries-that-WILL-heal, caring for those we love, and honouring those we have lost. July took from us and gave our loved ones ailments that have left them broken, hospitalised, and relying on us. August, give us all reprieve. #UglyDogs

It's really hard sometimes to be touched out, and just generally overstimulated with allodynia, while trying to care for a new pet who finds his favorite safety in touching you. I have no help. And the next person who tells me what they think I should do first can GTFO out of my life.

I just had to strong-arm a husky into my garage to avoid him starting shit with a raccoon across the street. Then he sulked in the garage for 20 minutes before getting his fluffy butt upstairs to bed. May August treat us all kindly. Side note: I may need to get this tag. 😂 #UglyDogs

Instagram ad for a brass dog tag that reads: I fucked around and got lost. Can you call my mom, she's probably losing her shit.

I haven't seen the Divisive Movie. But the takes of no one should critique a director if the film got some people to buy your book is so cynical. Money should shut up opinions based on a life's work of academic research? Really? Fuck you.

If you’ve ever wanted a dog that looks like a husky but you live in a place with size limitations and you’re not excited about all that hair… meet Lily! She’s a blend of 26 breeds but her coloring is all husky! She’s my latest foster and is available 1/2 way between Seattle and Portland.

Looks like a husky will probably be 30lbs at the very most!

I think Brynden decided this is home. He's making sure his full perimeter is marked in the morning, he kicks the dirt behind him afterwards, he's sitting by the pond, he's wooing at neighbors. And inside, he's having zoomies, napping in different rooms, & leaving toys everywhere. 1/2 #UglyDogs

Brynden the polite beggar. A gray husky with one blue eye is standing calmly by the kitchen table and just smiling in hopes you will offer cheese

I stg I'm going to create the biggest monster out of this dog when we can go to the big park in the cold. This is his reaction to a ½ mile greenway stroll in July, ffs. I'M NOT DONE WALKING & PEEING, MOTHER. GET BACK IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT OR HAND ME THE KEYS! #UglyDogs

Smiling happy gray husky with one eye, a blue harness, and a red leash. He can freely exit the backseat of the car but he's refusing because he wasn't done with his adventure yet

No wonder I'm tired! 🤣 For the last year of K's life (before he got sick), his avg was about 9000 steps a day. It's been a decade since I had a healthy yearling husky, let alone one in training who needs to learn his neighborhood. #UglyDogs

Fi gps collar logged 27,802 steps for Brynden between 7 am and 8 pm. That's considered a high strain score of 29. He's napped for 6 hours and 20 minutes.
