Fascinating study which shows that at a fundamental level the brain is two separate organs, essentially the brain stem is one and the rest of the brain (forebrain and midbrain) are another. Distinct from the beginning both in formation and evolutionary history. med.stanford.edu/news/all-new...

Bluesky has become my shingles diary 😂 I thought I had peaked yesterday but I am absolutely floored today. The rash isn't worse - that does seem to be improving. But I feel feverish and chills at the same time. This is one weird virus. I dont know why the vaccine is only offered to 65+ in the UK.

It's a virus. You can't rush it. If you do you will make yourself worse. I agree, why is the vaccine only offered to older people. In fact I thought it was over 70's. My grandmother lost the sight in her eye from it and the rash got infected!!! Don't try to push through. Re-arrange if necessary.

Shingles Update: I saw the doctor and he thinks it's progressing normally, which is a funny way of describing something so utterly painful and disgusting. It's still contained to my leg, and isn't getting worse though, so I guess getting those drugs within hours of the rash appearing has helped.
