Center for Volatile Interactions. DNRF Center of Excellence. Focus on production and consumption of biogenic volatiles in soil, water, cryptogams, plant-microbe interfaces.

In our last VOLT-All meeting before the summer break, new Postdoc Yumeng gave an introductory talk about her interdisciplinary background, and her current research on moss-cyanobacteria symbiosis and terrestrial nitroplast evolution. Our talks and cakes will resume at the end of the summer! ☀️🍰

In today's VOLT-all meeting we learnt about a cool model moss system to study interactions between mosses and cyanobacteria. Thomas Ammitsøe reported exciting findings related to nitrogen cycling in the system. We look forward to hearing what volatile signals are exchanged between the organisms.
