Requesting help from anyone out there with a good eye for Latin paleography! In the Latin side of GA 628 in Eph 3:1, there is a marginal note/correction and a supralinear correction, both pictured in the screenshot below. My questions about these two features follow in order.

Question for #Phylogenetics folks: SSE models are designed to address situations where character states influence speciation and extinction, but are there any models for influence in the opposite direction? I'm interested in scenarios where branches' mutation rates depend on birth/speciation rates.

Some Greek NT scribes would expand common nomina sacra like υς (for υιος, "son") and πνς (for πνευματος, "spirit") to their full forms when they did not have a divine referent. But this might be the first time I've seen a nomen sacrum corrected to this end! Here's Eph 2:2 in GA 1956:

Exciting news! Voting for the 2025 Digital Humanities Awards has officially opened, and the teiphy software I co-developed for converting TEI XML collations to inputs for various phylogenetic analysis programs is a candidate for Best DH Tool or Suite of Tools! Please spread the word and vote!

teiphy v.0.1.24 is out at github.com/jjmccollum/t...! I've made some Dependabot-informed dependency updates (which unfortunately required me to drop Python 3.9 support); conversion methods now include a progress bar; and BEAST 2.7 XML outputs are more streamlined to reduce unnecessary computation.

I just saw that the Critical Texts blog has an account on here (@criticaltexts.bsky.social)! Give it a follow if you're into New Testament studies and textual criticism!

I finally got around to open-sourcing the full build for my PhD thesis: github.com/bnagy/nagy-t... which may be of minor interest to some people. All but one of the papers are published elsewhere, but it has some interesting LaTeX tricks, and I enjoyed writing the conclusion a great deal.
