At the launch for our #healthierworkinglives report Commission chair - Sacha Romanovitch- sets out the challenge in numbers: ☑️ 8.2m working age adults with a health condition ☑️ 300k leaving the workforce each year ☑️ 51% businesses concerned about employer health
Their report, 'Action for Healthier Working Lives', says people with health conditions are too often forced to leave work because of an unfit workplace and benefits system. Bold recommendations include raising Statutory Sick Pay rates and a new ‘vocational rehabilitation benefit’.
