Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.

Kind of fascinating how AI now has the reputation porn used to have. A thing that's widely available but frowned upon by people who think about the damage it does behind the scenes, something that scratches an itch and lets people enjoy things they can't have IRL, something free that isn't free.

I hate how what I need to do is write books, and yet I keep thinking, "Maybe if I wore increasingly weird glasses and sat in front of my taxidermy with a bubble pipe and did unhinged houseplant reviews I could go viral and sell some books." Doing the work doesn't feel like enough, some days.

1. Placed an order with H&M on Wednesday. 2. It is almost immediately marked SHIPPED. 3. BUT. The tracking page tells me it is absolutely not shipped. It has been scheduled for a pickup from DOORDASH?? 4. DoorDash is schedule to deliver it on Sunday at 2:50am. We truly live in the stupidest time.

I want companies to understand that when I see an AI flier, my brain instantly deletes it. I don't think, "Ooh, I should go to this event!" I rush past it like it's a pile of dog poop. Same for ads with AI models. I assume that if your marketing is cheap garbage, so is your product.
