No one under 40 answers unknown phone numbers so I doubt it's a true representative sampling of people. One kool-aid drinking tradwife Karen can skew all the numbers for younger brackets.
Pew Research Center poll on “transgender athletes competing on sports teams that don’t match their birth sex”: • 27% of American adults are somewhat/very/extremely comfortable with it • 73% are not comfortable with it Democrats are also NOT comfortable with it: 55-44% margin.
I know exactly why, poindexter. It’s because it looks cool as fuck
i will never hate you for loving pumpkin spice anything because im an adult that knows we have to get our joy wherever we can
I am falling down an Old English linguistics rabbit hole. Vermillion was called book-red cause it was used in illuminated manuscripts so much. "Here-hūþ" (heh-reh-hooth) meant "spoils of war, booty" ... why do cool words like that fade away???
So I know in English, lots of natural world concepts come from Anglo Saxon Germanic origins properly and would predate the influx of French influence (among others). I know how orange the fruit predates orange the color and the travels that word took... but also "grey" seems to be Greek in origin
When you learn that the word for "coffee" just comes from the Greek word for "brown" So it's like how red Kool aid is just red flavored. Some ancient guy: what's that new drink you got called? Other ancient guy: I dunno it's brown. Some ancient guy: We shall all call it brown.
I just realizes that Aquidneck Island is trans and everyone just happily respects the Island's chosen name and ignores it's government name
See... the thing is, they don't *have* to follow the USGS lead. Screenshot is of Narragansett Bay centered on Aquidneck Island via Google Maps. Thing is... that's not it's legal government name. It's legally called Rhode Island. But that's confusing so everyone choose to use Aquidneck instead.
...and I'm all out of funsies
Montville Video. Wasn't huge... but in the early 90s they bought out the pizza place in the same building, knocked down the walls, and made it one business. One stop shopping for pizza and a movie. I maintain that move was why we never had a Blockbuster roll in.
Tell me about the video store of your past please

Saw a movie trailer that straight up said "handmade by humans" in giant red letters. AI Slop is losing. People don't want it.
A Target of Sapphire and Darkness. That sounds legit. (Yes, I know target sucks as a corp, but Walmart sucks more)
Your new YA fantasy series name is "A {Last place you went} of {Birthstone} and {Current weather}" A Work of Topaz and Rain ...huh, I can work with this.
I feel like I’m living In a dystopian novel written in 1993 that was rejected by dozens of publishers because it was incredibly stupid.

Love a direct, to the point queen. Say it plainly and leave no space for bad-faith bullshit.

If you’re in the US, expect maps on your phone to start showing you “Lake America” soon, now that the US Geological Survey has updated the GNIS. The USGS is a fabulous resource for spatial data in so many ways. And now it has to implement this stupid shit, for the most spiteful of reasons. Gross.
