Trump's antisemitism investigations at colleges were indeed smokescreens, using the false guise of "Jewish safety" to attack opponents and move a dangerous agenda. A whistleblower has now confirmed this. Antisemitism is real. But American Jews will NOT be used to support authoritarianism.

Trump administration officials ignored the recommendations of their own investigators as they pushed to find civil rights violations at three Ivy League universities, according to a whistle-blower complaint released Tuesday.

Trump's antisemitism investigations at colleges were indeed smokescreens, using the false guise of "Jewish safety" to attack opponents and move a dangerous agenda. A whistleblower has now confirmed this. Antisemitism is real. But American Jews will NOT be used to support authoritarianism.

To mourn and honor the lives Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Johan Sebastian Guerrero, and all others who have been brutally and senselessly killed by ICE in the last weeks (and months, and years), last week Bend the Arc joined a multifaith vigil in New York City. We demand an end to ICE's violence.

Grief and rage as painful images emerge from Madison, WI. One thing is clear: Corey Ruiz should be alive. There is no justification for this violence. And each and every life taken by police — each one a universe — is a grim reminder that for so many in this country, safety is not a reality.
