Moving the Toronto Star to the right allowed Postmedia to move even further right, pushing Canada's Overton Window to the right. Bitove bought the Star to neutralize and de-fang it, and Ford gave him an online gambling license to seal the deal. The Star is no problem for Ford now.

Back in the day, Rob and Doug Ford boycotted the Toronto Star because it had the temerity to report on their criminality. No such problems with the Star now.
