Just home from SCARF, comics-ly warmed through to my very ventricles. Huge congratulations to @chrismole.bsky.social for creating a beautiful, friendly, nurturing show. Every single exhibitor was lovely and clever. No notes! Comics are great, aren't they? And comics people are the best people.
Well, the inaugural Sheffield Comic Arts Fair or #SCARF was a bloody good time! Huge congratulations to @chrismole.bsky.social & his team of volunteers for running a welcoming con with such a great bunch of creators and creatives! Here's to many, MANY more!
This is a fun, intimate little event, I'm pleasantly surprised. The comics are great, the people who make them greater still, and free to get in? Madness! Kudos to Chris and all the organisers, and to the many, many people who've turned up. 🤘😎 Recommended for next year. 🤞

just wanted to say thank you so much to @chrismole.bsky.social for organising such a brilliant event in the new Sheffield Comic Arts Fair today, it was exceptional and the atmosphere was the best of any comics event I've ever been to! I will be applying for a table myself if it runs again next year🤞

Can't wait for this. I'll be there, the man who (I have guessed) has made the most comics about Sheffield, in Sheffield. Hopefully at some point I'll be given the key to the city or a commemorative cutlery set. Or both. See you SATURDAY.

Happy Letterer Appreciation Day! Often one of the most underappreciated roles in comics, and yet more often one of the most VITAL Lettering can make or break a comic and all too often it is considered the "Ah, I'll take care of it myself, how hard can it be" of many first/new comics.
