People are kind of shocked when they learn my 2 obsessions are Elden Ring and Genshin Impact. I have 1k+ hours in both. I don't know, I like open worlds and games that provide you with a complex challenge? 🤣 (yes trying to clear genshin endgame as almost F2P is a challenge!)

Trying to research historical or at least semi historical haircuts or fashion, was never easy but doable. Now with ai flooding the web, I'm back to the library, scientific papers and paper hardcopies from at least 10 years ago. please stop the slop, please 😭

June 2026 marks my ten year anniversary of being a self-employed artist - now I give up. Seriously. Today sucked big time. The car being just the cherry on top. I know there will come better times and I'll do everything in my power to turn the tides but I'd really could use some help now.

Textpost: Hi, I need your help. I struggle to find the right words and I really hesitated to make this post, but long story short. I’m currently financial wise in a very dire situation. Today I got hit by a heavy bill I cannot pay on my own (car repairs and I do need the car for upcoming conventions in August) Also there soon will come up other expenses, I do not have the funds for anymore. Lately conventions and sales didn’t work out as well, as I was used to (if I even got into) I lost a long term project at the beginning of the year, one day before it should actually start - which messed up my planning completely and I couldn’t replace it since then. On top of that I have been on and off sick since early 2025 - making me unable to work fulltime … and draining my savings. Because next to being exhausting and hindering me to do my job, the now known reason was bad and needed treatment, but not that bad that you’d die off from - so… you pay everything by yourself :D At least I feel much better already - hurray. Textpost: What now? I am in the process of retiring (or at least significantly shrinking down) my freelancing and am looking for an employed job, which can support me and my comic making. Something I do not want and can never give up. However… It will be still until September before I have wrapped up all my current obligations and can make the switch and with these new bills I am so, so scared to pile up debts I don’t know how to get rid of again. It really terrifies me. (And regularly puts me in a panic freeze, making me unable to work again - doesn’t help either) Textpost: So I am turning to you asking. If you have the means to help and ever enjoyed my art or a story of mine. Can you help me? Buy something in my Shop or Commission me. I hate Ai being used at any point of a production but I cannot understand why people think it sounds better to say that you only used it at the early stages of pre-production. That's the fun bit!! The ideas bit!! The creative bit!! The bit that makes your story YOURS.

While doing my taxes my brain decided to continue writing my OC story. And somehow horses get a very prominent part in this story. That's something I never intended but while working away on the world and characters it just happened. Now it feels like the story is coming together for the first time.

As someone who used to work on licensed comics (Rugrats, Cartoon Network etc) it absolutely blows my mind that stuff like this is going out on official products. We'd get dragged over the coals if a spot colour was one Pantone reference out. Now? Sure, Donald has seven fingers. Why not?
