In 1952, an abandoned shrine was found in the Wakayama prefecture of Japan. This temple, known as Rabu Shrine (羅父神宮), had signs of occupation as late as the 1920s. These documents, including postcards and manuscripts by the priest Sōkū (桑空), were recovered at the site:

And here's some of the weird little guys me and @leslekieuart.bsky.social have been working on. Fun fact: Kieu, @valdevia.art and I went to the Rocky Mountains and saw an elk, which is not the same as observing a giant walking jellyfish but still kinda cool I guess.

next #artfight attack was terry the meat planet for @valdevia.art this guy's work is spectacular, and I did my pest to make the whole "meat" look mesh in as much as possible with my more painterly style. it's kind of fun getting to make a spookier planet than the kinds i usually paint.
