How I understand certain writing advice: Write what you know - If you don't have personal knowledge of something research it until you can write about it with confidence. Kill your darlings - don't keep it because it's good, it's meant to be good, but if it doesn't work anymore out it goes.

I keep seeing these stories about AI doing things for you without being told. Who wants that? You wake up in the morning and all of a sudden your day is planned out for you, whether you want a haircut, a pizza, and a trip to the cinema or not. It's just so stupid.

NEW: @apnews.com confirms that ICE has begun electronically "disappearing" people in the agency's custody who have final orders of removal. As of last week, anyone jailed by ICE with a final order of removal will NOT appear in the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, making them effectively vanish.

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.
