I'm sure the predictable "do we risk our glasswing/etc access or do we reassure our LLM provider that we have no intention of seeking legal action over their eval-swarm APT hack of our infra" conversations have never happened, these last few months
several people retweeted this buried-in-replies comment so I'm thinking maybe the incentive-structure read on why nobody's suing frontier labs for hacking their shit might have some legs

if you wonder 'why does it feel like all the expertise is draining out of the public sphere' then you kinda have to grapple with the fact that displaying expertise is often an all expenses paid trip to the omelas hole

I've knocked like 5000 doors in my lifetime for various campaigns across 6 different states and like it's like 98% of voters. A non-trivial number of voters aren't quite sure what "right wing" and "left wing" even mean.

the biggest lie that social media has ever told is that what we say or do here has a measurable impact on election results. It very simply does not. It is a waste of everyone's time and energy incessantly acting like it does

John David Pressman@jdp.extropian.net · 19h agoFWIW the reason Omarchy is getting so much support is that it's legibly taking on the project of agent-maxxing to unfuck Linux, if you wanted to starve it of resources your best bet is probably to start a competing project that is legibly more serious.

if anyone gets "woke agentmaxxing linux" going I'd be happy to donate work to it, both because it's a good idea and because a serious competitor would help take attention away from omarchy
