I love seeing this #WSL ⚽ West Ham side do well. I miss having Ueki at Seattle. Watching her get an assist w/ such a great through ball is pure joy. But... but... Does it have to be against my Lionesses? 😭

The way cylindrite shifts axes so the outer crystals spread like a fan is so pretty. I've only ever seen it once, already cut in a cross section, but we still handled it with gloves and respirators. With lead and antimony it has heavy metal heritage. #MinCup26

#MinCup26 Round 1 Match 12 Grey hides complexity for these metal-rich minerals as trickster #Pyrrhotite battles geometrically-unusual #Cylindrite in this monochromatic matchup. VOTE: www.mineralcup.org/2026/vote-re... RESULTS: www.mineralcup.org/2026/vote-re...

I miss affordable, community-college level higher education that wasn't just everyone stuck in a room for hours. Grants I had access to as a mixed-race woman going to a woman's college are so far gone the admissions department at UW doesn't have record of them past name and identifier numbers.

An odd bit of flash fiction in my aetherpunk setting that I wrote when thinking of a Fiona Apple song for today's #SapphicLineShare

Dusk already? No, music. The ever-present hunger nagged but paled when my heart leaped to my throat. Daddy played that tune the last time I saw her — before the moon pulled her stripes and claws to the surface and she left to find the blood of the guilty.

🌈📚 Welcome back to another month of #SapphicLineShare hosted by me! A special thank you goes out once again to @ninafairweather.com for helping me so much with this! September we're going to focus on our settings and how the worlds around our characters shape their lives. #lesficfri #queerwriters

Won't lie, I had to look up Julienite. It's fascinating. However, I've worked extensively with calcite, as most every chemist has no doubt. It was a two-week fixture in my biochem courses with trips to Ruck's Pit. Gets my vote. #MinCup26

#MinCup26 Round 1 Match 11 It's a pair of minerals that pull off near-magical tricks with their properties as ubiquitous #Calcite is up against rarity #Julienite. VOTE: www.mineralcup.org/2026/vote-re... RESULTS: www.mineralcup.org/2026/vote-re...

I doooooo This is what I have so far! Do I need to add people before or after making the draft? And can I change the price if more people want to sign up?

David Beckham is often mocked in my household. We are Sounders fans here and called him Golden Balls for a long time after the MLS redrew rules to allow his stupidly high salary with LA. Since his bs shilling for the Qatari World Cup we sneer his "I love a taco" quote given while in Old Al Ghanim.

Love it when a story reaches the punchline that starts with "and in a fit of rage" but doesn't end in gun violence. Though, I admit, "In a fit of rage he threw a raccoon in the window" caught me off guard.

Cubetown Research Facility, Hypothetical Fish department. How may we help you? What about a pufferfish that, like, doesn't want to swim up your bum? Gary. Come on. You've got to stop calling us when you're stoned.
