[1/2] Meta-analysis methods q! Have ESs nested w/in samples w/in studies. Specifying model as 3-level using metafor's rma.mv. But worried about trade off in dfs and whether it's worth it. It's not totally obvious that there is variance due to study & some studies contribute >1 samples but not many.

Hot take: sharing your data should not be optional in 2023. Collect and store your data assuming you at some point be asked to share it (e.g., for a meta-analysis).

Working on a meta-analysis on a topic in dev psych and stunned at how many abstracts include no demographic information. Not even any indication of age of the sample, beyond "children"...

Any suggestions re: how to model dependence in data (siblings)? Want to avoid throwing data out & would be great to test siblings. I learned to not test siblings because doing so violated assumption of independence but...it's 2023, is there no way to just model that dependence or is it not worth it?
