If you post survey data, news articles, etc. without a link back to the source whenever possible, you are weakening the informational chain of custody and making it harder for other people to confirm that they're seeing accurate information. This holds even if you're mad at whatever it is.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Tech companies are making AI the front door to the internet—and it's distorting news, language, and knowledge as we know it. For our first episode of REAL Resistance, @alixdunn.com spoke with @klaudia.bsky.social, @aliyabhatia.bsky.social, and Yanick Kemayou about how AI warps the world’s info.
The argument that we should be preparing students for this workforce - instead of, say, joining with students to organize against AI slop-infused workplaces - is just so ridiculous.

The most dangerous thing about AI is not that the machines might one day think. It is that we are being trained, by men with enormous financial gains riding on our acquiescence, to stop thinking for ourselves.

My crankiest old man take is that referring to all art/entertainment/journalism/criticism/comedy/advertising as “content” helped pave the way for broad-ish acceptance of AI slop.
it's such a bummer that i have to care even the smallest amount what jeff bezos or musk or any of these guys think (not just for my job but bc their midlife crisis hobbies seem to be buying and destroying institutions)
While open-protocol tools show some promise in helping publishers take back control over how AI bots access and present their content, technical solutions alone cannot resolve what is a systemic problem. (w/ @aisvarya17.bsky.social for @columjournreview.bsky.social) www.cjr.org/tow_center/a...

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.
