Went and voted. Apparently there are Labour, Conservative, LibDem and Independent candidates. None of them sent me any material. I know it is only a county council by-election, but I wonder why people bother if they don’t try.

Somehow, they had managed to twist things to say that I was crazy but, at the exact same time, I had been clear minded enough to follow protocol exactly and had acted as required when a disaster of this scale occurred. How they had managed to do it was brilliant and really quite funny."
