The cans of Tab were piled high and the chalkboards filled with the white soot that comes with all-nighters strung too many in succession. “We’re really doing this, aren’t we?” Abe asked; so hoarse he had to clear his throat twice. “What do we call it?” Abe smiled, fire in his eyes. “Circuit City.”

🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈So far it's evading notice on all the MOST ANTICIPATED HORROR OF THE FALL lists, but we assure you: there's a cosmic storm brewing that you'll want on your radar. The successor to the beloved YOUR BODY IS NOT YOUR BODY has entered local airspace. PERSISTENT HORRORS DEMAND PERSISTENT REBELLION⬇️
Getting excited for Ali Hazelwood‘s books getting the Hollywood treatment. Long live Romance as a genre and subgenre!
I’m using a spreadsheet to price compare school supplies and get the per-item info. It’s satisfying but I’d rather be writing or reading or watching something or playing Stardew Valley
If you have a menu item with pecans, be aware there are people expecting those pecans to be delicious and toasty and salty and not taste like wood. Otherwise, why have it at all. There. That is your assignment
The other night I had a THC drink and saw/selected The Dunwich Horror on a movie app. A man w/ an ax was chasing a gorilla-suited man whose neck was visible under the mask. A lady fainted and had a vision. Right after, we learned it was a theater production. Needless to say, it was the wrong movie.

Like, kids have hobbies. They have plenty of hobbies, but the hobby they devote the most man hours to is getting you to tell them to eat a snack when they could once in a while just decide on their own to go get a snack 🤷♀️
Had a serious (everything’s ok) virtual appt today. The door was shut with my kid steadily knocking on the door on and off the entire time. Finally got up to check. She was lying on the floor with the blankest face. All she said was “I’m hungry.” She’d gotten herself a pillow. 60/40 funny/annoying

man it sucks to see people blaming small SFF magazines and their volunteer staff for getting got by AI submissions. this is like those smug jerks who think they're too clever to get taken in by phone scams. I get it, man. I'd like to be unfoolable also. but unfortunately none of us are.
Moe: Well lah-de-dah mister french man! Homer: Well what do *you* call it? Moe: A car-hole!
