Dan Weisberg spent most of his time as first deputy chancellor of NYC Public Schools trying to block full implementation of a law that would cap class sizes in lower grades at 20-23 students. Now he says we need AI in classrooms because it’s too difficult for teachers to handle 25-30 students. 🤦🏻♂️

Disappointed the Gov would side with big donors rather then even wait to see if the voucher regs even help parents who send their kids to public schools. www.chalkbeat.org/newyork/2026...
Remember: any time you see the Manhattan Institute, the Post, the Atlantic, etc screaming and crying about school spending in New York City (but not the suburbs/rurals that spend more), they are really just saying that kids with disabilities shouldn’t be identified or receive appropriate services

Students are at risk of falling massively behind if we don’t allow OpenAI to plan, site, and be involved in the day-to-day operations of an NYCPS high school, an actual thing that an alarmingly large number of actual parents believe
