Everytime someone tells me, "That's not how things are done." I want to throttle them and scream in their face, "GOOD!" We should always be striving to do better. To iterate and make sure that we are adapting and changing to our environment and sensibilities. Anything less is cowardice.
I've unfortunately been witness to a lot of the chaos described in this statement from my time working for Sprocket. Many attempts were made to push for better systems. There was a repeated promise in meetings that this was just the concerns of a few artists, and that everyone else was happy.
