Any anyway, how much of this very expensive and mostly useless computer bullshit was brokered through Peter Mandelson personally? That might help us to understand motivations and effects, and why everyone is being force-fed AI drivel now.
The kind explanation for this is that it’s witless malfeasance. The most likely and heavily evidenced explanation is that our leaders are a gaggle of easily-led idiots who love to say Yes to wealthy Americans. There are more sinister interpretations than that, ones that seem pretty plausible to me.

What a total joke that this was allowed to happen and that Farage - the orchestrator of this total waste-of-time debacle - may try to claim any sort of victory or vindication here.
