1/ This company’s models were trained on web scraped datasets (like LAION) and their founders are ex-Stability AI employees who engage in the same thieving practices that led artists like myself to sue Stability. GenAi companies NEED big names to sanitize their exploitation and crippling PR.
IMPORTANT: For any artists/writers/etc etc, using Linktree to point people to their work, from 5 July, they'll be feeding all imagery you use on your landing page into DALL-E by OpenAI. I deleted my account this morning.

I'm frustrated by how everyone just gave him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not feeling very forgiving when this is the messaging. I don't think I'm being unreasonable either
This @pbs.org segment is an informative yet disturbing watch. I knew some of the ways data centers affect communities, but this goes in DEPTH. It showcases the impact to those living near these data centers, the cruelty and audacity of the tech companies themselves. A very important watch!

My girl cat, my best friend, my favorite being for over 17 years—who was so healthy just a month ago— was diagnosed with terminal cancer. While I’m so lucky I had 17 years of her, I’m still so devastated. I wish I could have even one more year. Here’s a reminder to love them every step of the way.
