all i want is to one day own a modest sized home in a walkable neighborhood and raise money for shelter animals. wear an outfit i like, walk to the grocery store, buy some nectarines, feed cats, and live in peace. just don't understand why achieving this is so hard

Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? If I uncheck the * line height rule (that's crossed out in dev tools), the 1.5 rule magically works… (Happens in both Chrome and Safari.)

Earlier this year a local independent weekly got bought and the staff let go. I spent several hours yesterday exploring web crawling in an attempt to archive every article before the site inevitably disappears from the Internet forever.

Trump lost 3 million votes since 2020, Dems lost somewhere around 12 million votes. Every cycle they continue to trot out candidates who blatantly say to voters "we hear your concerns, we will not do anything about them, you must vote or fascism." Democrats want to win, but do not want to govern.
