Oh: Looks like there's now a *third* lawsuit against the Trump administration demanding increased access for clergy to immigrant detainees. But this one has a *Catholic archdiocese* onboard. That's a big deal: Catholics are involved in ongoing cases in Illinois and Minnesota, not not the dioceses.

The Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis filed a lawsuit against the federal government on ‌Monday, alleging that detainees at an immigration detention facility in Missouri are being deprived of their right to speak privately with priests or receive sacraments like communion and confession.

All I’m saying is that U.S. Catholic leaders have told Dems FOR DECADES that they may not call themselves “Catholic” if they’re a public figure who disagrees with church on key teachings. The idea being that if you’re prominent & Catholic, you have a special responsibility to represent. 🧵

Trump's attack on the Pope and his blasphemous AI post portraying himself as Jesus show his contempt for our nation's religious freedom tradition. This administration is the most harmful to religious freedom in modern American history. He must immediately stop his attacks on faith communities.

Oh — a VP of the Muslim Public Affairs Council with this group just confronted Rep. Randy Fine, who posted that he'd choose dogs over Muslims. I couldn’t hear all that was said (more soon), but Fine threatened the MPAC VP with arrest from a nearby cop. The officer did not, in fact, arrest him.
