Amplifying so university colleagues can (1) be aware that there's more than one current story about detained researchers, and (2) be reminded that you probably know/work with people who could be detained at any time.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Freedom 250 is UGLY. It's celebrating the ugliest freedoms in America. It's not about the freedom of people to collectively self-govern, or the freedom to express ourselves fully. It is celebrating the freedom of white domination, the freedom of patriarchy, the freedom to exploit and coerce.
