The CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey has monitored the wellbeing of America’s high school students since 1991. Since 2015, it’s been a vital source of data on LGBQ youth. In 2023, it provided the first ever nationally representative sample of transgender teens. As of this morning, it’s gone.

It’s official, my first semester of being a professor - including entering grades - is in the books! Now to turn to the 8 million research tasks that have somehow all ended up being due during winter break…😩

I’m thrilled to (belatedly) announce: 1) that I will be joining the University of Northern Colorado as an Assistant Professor in Psychological Sciences - Educational Psychology for Fall 2024! 2) I had a baby! She won’t be appearing on here, but she’s lovely & we’re so excited to have her :)

Turns out that once the materials are prepped, finalist job interviews can actually be somewhat enjoyable! (Albeit exhausting, lol). Excited to be moving along in this process and hoping to find a good academic home!
