I saw a news piece on renos to the garage and asked bf who has lived here his entire life why he never told me that our transit system has a very cursed mascot. He did not know about Willi. He said this must be a new thing. No. He's not a new thing. The CPTDB Wiki says he was introduced in 1988.

To Do: ✅ gym ✅ writing ✅ make soup And bf came over to watch tv and have soup with me. Plus I still have time tonight between loading dishes in the dishwasher to do some more writing and get really ahead of what I hoped to have finished for my check in tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s plan: ⬜️ gym ⬜️ writing ⬜️ make soup I think that’s manageable. I have a content target I want to hit with the writing but I’m about halfway there already and if I weren’t so damn cold, I’d probably keep working on it tonight. Instead I think I’ll change the sheets and read Shakespeare.
I have been 👀 at this project since Jason announced it and I am so looking forward to making my friends play lumberjacks with me.

Ok I have actually hit the writing target I assigned myself for the day (which means I can get ahead this afternoon), my allergy meds have finally made my arm stop itching and I had a snack. So now I can go to the gym, try to push through a full workout and a run, and then have lunch.

In good news, allergy shots did not knock me out today. I was able to sit through my final digital painting class without falling asleep. In bad news, I am still itchy, the hive has grown, and Benadryl cream really isn't doing anything for it. It goes on my skin but the itch is under my skin.
If any of my Canadian friends need N95s, I highly recommend ordering from EBSECan. I got a box of 100 for $70.28 including tax, shipping, and a small donation to their free mask program for those in need. That’s less than 1/4 what Canada Strong and PPE Supply charge. shop.evidencebased.ca
My bf's favourite game is Dwarf Fortress. Occasionally I'll ask him what his dwarves are getting up to and he will say the most unhinged nonsense I have ever heard. In his last game the glass blower crashed out cuz no nickel ingots, stripped, & ran around naked & screaming til she starved to death
So a big problem I have with audiobooks is how many French loan words Americans just can't pronounce correctly (foyer is the worst but rifled also seems to be a problem). But the Canadian city I live was once French and a lot of the French place names are also pronounced horribly wrong.
happy bi visibility day from the nobody believes you hand sofa
Gonna have to stop at the drug store on my way home cuz allergy shots pt 2 hurt more and are itchier than the first round and now I need Benadryl cream. And I’m already medicated so I can’t just take an Allegra about it.
Today I did the groceries and the laundry and a bunch of work on my project. Tomorrow’s plan is gonna depend how eepy the allergy shots make me but it’ll involve going to the allergist’s to get them and then hopefully figuring out a rough outline of all my map rooms and my NPC names for the project.
Carney is truly the Reagan of Canada. A calming, paternalistic figure in a period of apocalyptic uncertainty who galvanizes the economy with short-sighted right wing fiscal policies. And like Reagan, every disaster that Canada encounters in the future will be traceable to his administration.
When I visited France, I had to go to Provence to see if the lavender fields there were as beautiful as I had heard. They were, indeed! I was immediately captivated by the rolling plains of purple lavender rows. Hills of Provence by Erin Hanson, 2026 Oil on canvas 28 x 36 in #art #impressionism
New hoodies shrunk to about half the size in the dryer (tbf they said hang dry and I did not listen) but it's ok cuz they arrived like 3 sizes too big, like I was surprised they were labelled my size when I was swimming in them, and now they fit perfectly.
waking up as an elder millennial every single day in 2026
I was so exhausted last night that I had an impossible time falling asleep (I know, I also think this makes 0 sense) so I woke up with basically no energy and have finished so far 0 things on the to do list. I have done some good work on my project and the first load of laundry is in tho.
Tomorrow's plan: ⬜ like 2 weeks of laundry done first thing in the morning ⬜ go to the gym (chest, triceps, and cardio) ⬜ work on project (decide on villain, finish outline, write intro) ⬜ prep more breakfasts for the week ⬜ ideally groceries in the evening

Had a great afternoon with bf. We took a trip to the hardware store to get paint testers in the colours we're less certain of for the house and cleaning supplies cuz we're burning through TSP at an alarming rate. Then we dusted and cleaned most of the walls in the back room.
The plan for today was farmer's market, therapy, lunch, go to bf's for cleaning and paint shopping. Unfortunately it's been raining all morning and they don't make affordable rain boots for people with wider calves, so no concord grapes for me. But everything else is on schedule.
Bf has agreed to taking the bus to the hardware store after we finish cleaning tomorrow to buy samples of the paint colours we're thinking of doing his house in so we can make a final decision and spend the month of October repainting the whole house. Ceilings, walls and all the trim need a repaint.
This "significant labour legislation" could very likely end the right to strike for thousands of workers through expanding whose work is "essential," lengthening bargaining timelines or introducing US style laws. pressprogress.ca/mark-carneys...

Multiple industry and labour sources tell CTV News they have been told to get ready for the introduction of significant labour legislation as soon as next week. A senior government source says plans are underway to introduce such legislation following a review of the Canadian Labour Code.
Me explaining allergies to my bf: Basically my immune system sees normal things as a threat, goes haywire trying to kill the thing it shouldn't fight, and can potentially kill me in the process. Bf: So I have brain goblins, and your immune system is run by kobolds? I don't think he's wrong.
My legs are functional thanks to last night's yoga which means I do get to do my full leg day routine this morning and do another run on the elliptical after. I will be very sore for cleaning bf's back room tomorrow, and even more sore for going to the gym Sunday, but that's fine.
I am in bed for the night with Julius Caesar (the play not some guy named after a Roman emperor). If I can move tomorrow, it’s leg day. If I can’t move tomorrow, it’s still leg day but I won’t load 110lbs onto the leg extension machine or try to squat 16 kilos.
