Medium format, fuck yeah! I just developed my first roll of 120 ever and the results look hella promising. I really need this to hurry up and dry so I can start scanning. The film stock is Ilford HP5+ 400.

Claire in natural light. Nikon FM2N Nikon 50mm f/1.8 E Series ILFORD HP5 Plus pushed to 800
Two more rolls down. Unfortunately I’m traveling this weekend and won’t be able to do any test scans until Sunday.
@ivysublime.bsky.social in natural light, killing it as usual. Most of yesterday's session was taken on film and I can't wait to see the scans.
My Olympus OM2n is getting CLA’d and I miss her desperately.
Claire and I have been artistically collaborating for eight years as of last week. I always feel like I am cheating on her hair color when I shoot her in b&w, because the red tresses are just so gorge! Taken with my OM2n + 85 mm f/2 on, let’s say Kodak Gold 200.
Claire, from the No I Won’t Shoot Your Indy Album Cover collection. Definitely taken with Acros 100 and my OM2n + 85 mm f2.
Everything is terrible and horrible. So here is Ann-Margaret and Desi Arnez Jr. on the “Here’s Lucy” show in 1970 doing a dance number that’s been remixed to Prince’s “Kiss”. Ann-Margaret was hip AF! 🔥
One day I’ll remember to jot down the camera and lens I used, but today is not that day! So I’m going to go with: Nikon FM2 and 35mm f/2.8 (they were in my bag). The film is Kentmere 200.
With @chrisubik.bsky.social wearing my Marie Mur leather harness, which I can't believe I had never shot in prior to this photoshoot. #blackandwhite #bnw #bnwcaptures #moodyportrait #fineart #artmodel #fineartphotography #leather #lingerie #model #monochrome
I developed film at home for the first time since the late 1980s today! The roll on the left is Tri-X; on the right is CineStill BwXX. Both were developed in CineStill DF96. The hardest part wasn’t developing, it was using a changing bag and getting film on the reels for the first time in 37 years.
Another from the wealth of archives @chrisubik.bsky.social and I share. I was very obsessed this timeframe with "anonymity" so I shot in wigs, accessories, and costumes that obscured my identity. This is what longterm collaborations between models and photographers will grant! #artmodel #surreal
I think one of the hangups around sex workers rights is that everyone else adjacent feels like it's an affront to center sex workers because other groups also suffer from similar problems But my point is- These are not mutually exclusive positions This is a time for solidarity, not division
Here’s the bottom line for what’s going on with Grok - if the owner of the website is putting his thumb on the scale hard enough for the chatbot to turn into Goebbels, you should be deeply concerned about what he’s doing to the algorithm that you can’t so easily see, and what it’s doing to you

RIP, Ed, you steely-eyed missile man real heroes use duct tape
Robert “Ed” Smylie, the NASA official who saved the Apollo 13 crew in 1970, has died at 95. He cobbled together an apparatus made of cardboard, plastic bags and duct tape after an explosion crippled the spacecraft as it sped toward the moon. nyti.ms/3Sbusb3
A fun experiment in a nylon body stocking – I’m obsessed with nylon textures and I wish I could play around more with this concept. With @chrisubik.bsky.social 📸 #artmodel #travelingmodel #fineartphotography #fineartmodel #ncmodel #blackandwhite #bnw #model #nylon
And just like that, Ivy whirls her way into the bsky Universe, tits out and surrounded by billowing fabric. Would you expect any less from a Goddess? 😘 @chrisubik.bsky.social on the lens

I haven’t been loving my Sony A7R III since purchasing it and came thiiiiiis close to trading her in this weekend. It’s kinda heavy and full frame lenses exacerbate that problem. So today I got myself something light and svelte: the 40mm 2.5 G. Totally changes the handling for the better!
You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you? While there is a 100% chance of rescue, it is equally likely that you will be exposed to shenanigans that will make you wonder if you were safer with the kidnappers 😏

This 2025 stop calling yourself a "content creator" You're an artist, graphic designer, a video editor, an entertainer, musician, a streamer, a cook, a craftsman, an animator, a storyteller, a writer, a painter, a woodworker, a tailor... You are not a faceless "content" machine.
The second floor of the #LEGO Jazz club is complete! I was going to wait until this weekend to complete the build, but I’m feeling bold in the new year.
every time I see a mutual post some piece of AI shit, I die a little more inside - why don't you just stab me with a fucking ice pick instead
If you’re excited for 2025 you’re a fucking moron. The Washington Post is going to announce a Democracy Summit hosted by Mike Lindell. CNN will give Bari Weiss a show called “Cancel Queen.” The January 6th Choir will perform live on CBS Mornings with The Piano Guys
If you're excited for 2024 you're a fucking moron. NBC News is going to hire Chris Rufo as a "conservative commentator." Threads will promote a live town hall with Steve Bannon. Donald Trump is going to wear a hat that says "Christian Nation" and newspapers are going to say "critics call it fascist"
The ground floor of the #LEGO Jazz Club is complete! I got this set for Christmas and as it is rainy today in the North Carolina Piedmont, I figured now is the best time to dive in. This set has three floors, but I’m calling it after one. The tips of my fingers are a little tender at the moment.
Last week, Megan and I went to Disney World to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Not only that: we did so sans child! Which honestly was a very mixed bag. I enjoyed the freedom to move at the pace my 55-year-old frame was comfortable with, but I missed having her there almost every moment.
