It's hard enough creating an hour of comedy, let alone getting reviewers in. So if you're doing a Fringe show, I'm giving it 5 stars. Feel free to pop em on your poster
Today is a beautiful day to buy tickets to The Mermaid www.edfringe.com/tickets/what... I'll also be selling my book AND if that's not enough inventive, stickers

Ratatouille is a film about the difficulties of being a head chef
Listen. I work in comedy. ADHD is absolutely real.
Only just found out about this For the record, you don't get multiple genetic markers and one of the most effective medications known to science with 'social constructs' Channel 4, this is, in scientific parlance, an absolute fu*king disgrace that will genuinely endanger lives #c4 #ADHD
Miss Skehal! She encouraged us all to keep creative writing diaries and was just generally passionate about English. She also taught author Alan Bisset (not at the same time I hasten to add) I hope she's doing well
Who was YOUR great english teacher (if you had one)? For me it was Hugh Epstein at Richmond college (RUTC). I hope he's well, wherever he is!
Bluesky readers of Cyrillic! Can you identify this silver mark? It looks like a 3 but then I don't know if the second part is a letter or a number. Anyone able to help me solve this?
And in no way is it worse because she's a woman
I saw a post saying that any critic would get a backlash after trashing a popular film. And I'm just not sure that should be normal. It's fun when a critic hates something! We should want reviewers with high standards and weird/obtuse opinions. A film isn't a sports team you support!
We've gotta make the Monorail Simpsons episode required viewing for every city councilor in the country. Every single thing he says here is a lie. A Potemkin Village Imaginarium.
Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
Guy who went on holiday to Toontown and made it his whole personality:
I don't know why everyone is in such a frenzy to see The Odyssey in 70mm. That's only like seven centimeters big. I'd rather see it on a movie screen thank you very much.

I used to think that I simply didn't know enough about buildings and construction and there must be a very good reason why they always take so long in Edinburgh, but after Princes St, North Bridge, George IV Pizza express and the trams I'm starting to think we're just really really shit at this
🌤️ Good morning Edinburgh. Today’s headlines: Council considering 'moving trams by road', trams saga 'destroyed trade in Leith' + £20k raised in under 24hrs for murdered mum's family ⏰ Edinburgh’s ad-free local news: www.edinburghminute.com/the-edinburg... Photo: @tomduffinphotos.bsky.social
So glad I will get to experience watching The Odyssey as someone who doesn’t care that it’s a poem or whatever, you won’t catch me caring about its faithfulness, I will simply be whispering to the person next to me “that’s the horse” when the Big Wooden Horse appears
And a great excuse to bring back a lockdown classic www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VKh...

I think this is healthy. I think more American women need to see that Celtic men are not, in fact, any better than other men

Wile E. Coyote, despaired, takes a bucket of paint and a brush and paints a beautiful two-bedroom house on a mountainside. He paints a beautiful coyote wife in the window, and two adorable coyote kids running around in the yard. He tries to enter this new coyote life, but it is inaccessible to him
This is so cringe he might as well put up a framed picture of some Bisto and Ken Barlow in a flat
Just seen that Burnham is an avid Morrissey fan and has put up a gold disc of The Smiths’ “The Queen is Dead” in No.10 North the guy who has a whole section on “racial comments” on Wikipedia Yeah this dude doesn’t care about racism in the slightest.
Overall I enjoyed the Odyssey Pros: looked great, good cast, sirens were very effective, women felt real (well done Nolan) Cons: US accents were a bit of a weird choice, everyone should have just used their own ala Death of Stalin. Also the dialogue felt kind of stilted? Like it was too stagey?
Why don't you fucking pieces of shit buy some fucking tickets to my fucking show (Trying to do more aggressive marketing) www.edfringe.com/tickets/what...

Going to see the Odyssey tomorrow night, when is the best point for a loo break?
If you're shocked about how northern Andy Burnham is, wait till you hear where Gordon Brown is from
This is one of my favourite videos on the internet. It never gets old.
