It's tough out here being a Pro-GM that's demisexual and runs romance games. But tougher knowing that many Women, Trans, NB, and Queer folk do not have tables to pursue romance in TTRPGs safely. I'll give my spoons to hold the space for them.

Let me tell you, there is a lot of grief in having to practically restart the creative space you took 5 years to build while watching others continue to benefit from it. No amount of pride in what you can accomplish changes the frustration.

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

I'm not a fan of players asking me what I'll call for skill checks so that they can build their characters around that. I weigh a lot of things when I call skill checks, and it puts unnecessary expectations on me when I don't call the check the way a player wants me to.

"We'll edit it in post" NO, ACTUALLY. We, as a video-based TTRPG performance space, cannot afford that, outside of like *maybe* a dozen studios. As someone who advocated hard for the concept of pre-recording shows before CR or D20 popularized it, that wasn't to encourage *more* labor to the show.
