my favorite part of social media is when settlers ask for resources and labor and I willfully ignorantly (bc I know better) give in and their only response is to "like" what I said. not a reply, not a thank you, no meaningful conversation. pure extraction and on to the next-- just like a colonizer.

As a consultant & freelancer I try to be careful with public posts. But there has been a noticeable trend towards bigger companies backtracking on their efforts to repair, mitigate & prevent harms around racism, sexism & ableism in their lore, mechanics & games generally. It sucks.

So ummm V5 did a lot of work to move away from the gross and stereotype nature presented previously. My question is why does the V6 playtest material lean so so hard back into it?

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

With the nightmares for QTBIPOC in the United States right now, it is so so telling that @officialpax.bsky.social has decided that 2026 is the year to cut support and funding for The PAX Intersection & its PTI programs that made a PAX safer & life changing event for devs & attendees of color alike.

This week has been really really rough but once again games are out here keeping me going. Thank you to the casts and crews of Veils of Chicago and Network Z. My heart is so much lighter after enjoying some horror with you all back to back.
