This is a poor take that suggests Owen Jones doesn't know much about Russia in the 1990s, including Russia-US or wider Russia-West relations in the 1990s. By giving only one part of the story, he is repeating the Russian political elite's self-serving line that it was all the West's fault. Long 🧵

Where do I find student writing that is certain to be AI written? Been playing around building a scanner that produces a dashboard of indicators and it correctly assess my work as non-slop, but I need some definitive slop to test the reverse.
Debating with colleagues about the practice of "deseasoning and deweathering" air pollution data before use in time series analysis. I can't see why you don't use the raw pollution data and model season/weather variables like normal confounders (independent variables). Can anyone defend this?
